This is pretty much an outrageous assertion from a person who has a very narrow view of how the United States works. There are a variety of ways to be American. There are a variety of ways to be white AND Black. Rep Crockett has NEVER asserted that she was from the street. She has always seemed very as they say bourgie to me. She has NEVER given me a street b-boy impression. She is a milleneal and that is how they ALL TALK even the white ones or maybe that is Gen Z, I don’t know, but what people viewed as coded by socioeconomic and racial hiearchy coded in language in the 1980s and 1990s (OVER 20 years ago) is now pretty much mainstream, PARTICULARLY among people with middle class background like Rep Crockett.
