I’m on the Nextdoor, which is a rotten site. Anyways, a rental advertisement came up for 3 floor, 3 bedroom, 1 bath in central Newark. $2400. This is crazy expensive. We have a friend who is living in an amazing upscale downtown apartment on the 18th floor for $400 LESS. My Mortgage for a whole house is $1900. These folks are parasites.

Housing should not be market based. It is just amoral to put people in this horrible position.

This is a wonderful space. It is great to be in a place that does not edit your feed, but on to the topic. The market doesn’t even seem to be working correctly in this case, it appears that the landlords are being subsidized. Welfare for the landowners, and brutal competition for the rest of us!
