This category is for wonderful news and pleasant information. The problem with the constant onslaught of horrible news is demoralization. It is a strategy used by fascists, authoritarians, and abusers to make you tap yourself out of the game.
This space is to support you in continuing the good work you are doing by making you happy.
Include pictures from your gardens, your cat, the thing that made you happy, now of course you can post that on the main category, but say you just can’t bear to see anything mean, scary, sarcastic, well this space is for you. All new topics (not replies) will be moderated, but as you know I’m online all of the time.

This week was challenging, but I did have a bunch of bright spots.
Our new dog, Luna, is settling into our home nicely. She is such a sweet little thing, a chihuahua Scottish (possibly cairn) terrier mix. She is just turning eight and is getting along with Chico and our cats Lyudmila and Sam very well.
I have a weekly phone call with my younger brother and this week’s conversation was fun and as always we learn a lot from each other (he is 21 years younger than me). He’s going to lend me an acoustic guitar as I’ve kind of committed to finally making a real attempt to learn.
I’m working at the convent I work per diem for tomorrow which not only gets me holiday pay but a holiday dinner with all of the sisters. I ran to dollar general and got some stuff together and made Easter baskets for the five sisters that live in the infirmary. They are mostly retired school teachers and so easy to work with, it’s the nicest nursing job I’ve ever had and I love doing little things like that for the sisters.
